Senior Backend Engineer (Remote within EU)

The person we’re looking for is someone who can become a key player and help us reach even further. In this role, you’ll take technical ownership of our backend, working with Django and Python to build reliable and scalable systems. Along the way, you’ll naturally support colleagues and help shape how we build our products.

You’ll be part of our Engineering team of eighteen people, working closely together across Europe, with most of us based in Sweden.

What you’ll work on

• You build things daily with Python and Django
• Ensuring scalable and reliable solutions through our cloud platform (AWS)
• Taking technical ownership and driving development forward
• Sharing knowledge, best practices, and supporting the team

We’re looking for someone who

• Has a strong experience working with Django and Python
• Knows their way around cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
• Takes ownership and delivers with accountability
• Enjoys solving problems with a structured, analytical mindset
• Communicates clearly in English and collaborates effectively with colleagues across different locations

Nice to have (but not required)

• Familiarity with htmx
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Comfortable with REST API design
• SaaS/HR tech experience
