Role overview:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and strengthen internal communications across the Process Industries division in ABB, helping employees around the world stay connected to our strategy, priorities, leadership, and culture. You will contribute to business objectives through the development and deployment of innovative and effective communication activities aligned with global communication strategies, standards, and guidelines.

Each day, you will be responsible for driving clear, engaging, and impactful communication that supports organizational alignment, transformation, leadership visibility, and employee engagement across a complex global business. You will also showcase your expertise by partnering with senior leaders and key functions to ensure communication strategies and plans align with division and ABB-wide priorities.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Process Industries division globally. Main stakeholders include the Division President, Global Leadership Team, global and local communications teams, functions (HR, HSE, Strategy, Finance, Legal & Integrity, Operations), and business line leadership teams.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading and executing the global internal communications strategy for ABB Process Industries, ensuring alignment across business lines and countries
• Driving communication strategies for transformation initiatives and organizational change, supporting leaders with clear, empathetic, and transparent messaging
• Coordinating and activating major division-wide internal communication campaigns and strategic initiatives across global and local teams, ensuring employee engagement and organizational readiness
• Managing leadership communication and internal visibility for the Division President and GLT, ensuring a strong cadence of authentic and engaging employee communication

You will join a high-performing, collaborative, and globally connected communications and marketing team, where you will have the opportunity to shape strategic internal communication across one of ABB’s most dynamic industrial divisions.

Qualifications for the role:

• You are highly skilled in internal communications, executive communications, and change communication within a complex global organization
• You have 10+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, or related fields, ideally within industrial, B2B, or matrixed environments
• You have established skills in developing strategic communication plans, translating complex topics into clear narratives, and engaging senior leadership stakeholders
• You are passionate about storytelling, employee engagement, leadership communication, and simplifying communication to drive clarity and alignment
• You possess strong experience with digital communication platforms and modern communication channels such as Viva Engage, intranet platforms, video communication, AI and enterprise collaboration tools
• You have proven experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams including HR, Strategy, HSE, Finance, and Operations
• You are at ease communicating in English in a global business environment, both written and spoken
