Do you enjoy improving the way complex products are assembled, turning practical experience into smarter processes and helping people succeed? Quintus Technologies is looking for a Production Developer to strengthen assembly efficiency, quality and standardised ways of working in Västerås.

About the role

As Quintus Technologies prepares for increased production volumes, there is a major opportunity to develop and document how advanced high-pressure systems are assembled. This role is close to the shop floor: you will learn how assembly is actually performed, work with skilled assemblers and translate improvement opportunities into workable methods, instructions and processes.

Your responsibilities

As a Production Developer at Quintus Technologies, you will play an important role in developing and improving our assembly processes. Working closely with assembly staff, you will identify opportunities to simplify working methods, reduce lead times and improve quality, safety and efficiency.

You will spend time in the workshop, gaining a practical understanding of how assembly operations work and turning ideas into improvements that make a real difference in everyday production.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing and improving assembly sequences, working methods, lead times and the use of available space.
  • Developing and standardising assembly instructions, guidelines and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
  • Collaborating with Production Preparation and Engineering to improve material preparation, picking lists and product designs from an assembly perspective.
  • Working closely with the Production Engineer and EHS specialists to improve workshop layouts, safety and working conditions.
  • Driving and contributing to improvement initiatives that strengthen quality, support onboarding and enable increased production volumes.

You will collaborate across several functions and play an active role in developing more efficient, standardised and scalable assembly processes. The position offers a combination of hands-on involvement in production and long-term development work, with the opportunity to see the results of your improvements in practice.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a strong technical understanding and a genuine interest in developing and improving production processes. You enjoy working close to the production environment, understanding how things work in practice and finding ways to make assembly operations more efficient.

We believe you have:

  • Relevant technical education in production engineering, industrial engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in industrial assembly, production development, production engineering or continuous improvement.

As a person, you are analytical, structured and solution-oriented, with a practical approach to problem-solving. You have the ability to identify improvement opportunities and turn your observations into clear instructions and solutions that work in everyday production.

You enjoy collaborating with assembly staff, production preparation and engineering, and you understand the importance of involving the people who work closest to the processes. You communicate clearly, listen to different perspectives and take an active role in turning ideas into lasting improvements.

Additional experience we value:

  • Experience with complex, low-volume or engineer-to-order equipment.
  • Experience with standardised work, assembly studies, lead-time reduction or Lean methods.
  • Experience developing assembly documentation and training materials.

Why Quintus Technologies?

This is a chance to make visible improvements where they matter most: in the assembly process itself. You will work with highly skilled colleagues, complex technology and genuine opportunities to develop more efficient and scalable ways of working.

Location

The position is based in Västerås, Sweden.
