This role is therefore an important leadership position, connecting the daily delivery of the Hardware organization with the future technology direction for Robotics

Role Description

This role combines operational leadership of the Hardware (HW) domain within Robotic R&D Technology & Advanced Development with a forward-looking responsibility as Technology Manager.

As Senior HW & Technology Manager, you are responsible for the long-term development of technology, functionality, and technical capabilities within Robotics, while also ensuring stable daily delivery. The role bridges current execution with the future technical direction of the organization.

The role has three core dimensions:

• Technology and Functional Leadership (Long-Term Perspective) – You hold a forward-looking responsibility for technology and functionality within Robotics.
• Strategic Development of HW Ways of Working – You have a strategic responsibility for developing and strengthening HW ways of working.
• Operational Line Management – HW – You are the operational manager for the HW domain.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who brings strong technical understanding and acts as a trusted discussion partner in complex technical topics, with a long-term strategic mindset and experience contributing at management team level through analytical and systems-level thinking.

You demonstrate the ability to assess technology from a capability and future-readiness perspective while respecting strong operational ownership in the organization. You are highly self-driven, analytical, and technology-oriented, with the confidence to take responsibility, drive topics independently, and contribute with clarity and substance at senior leadership level.

Qualifications:

• Senior people management experience. Experience in managing managers within electronics and/or software is desired
• Ability to operate both strategically and operationally
• Broad experience in technology roadmap development
• Fluent in English both spoken and written. Swedish is a plus!
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience

Our team is based in Huskvarna, where we strongly believe in the value of working closely together. Some flexibility is possible, but we aim for on‑site presence since collaboration is at the core of how we work.
