SAP Developer Logistics Stream (SAP TM)

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Developer specializing in Transportation Management (SAP TM) to support a global logistics transformation program. The role focuses on template development, system integration, and implementation of SAP TM solutions within a large-scale international rollout.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying SAP TM solutions aligned with global standards. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams and integration partners to ensure successful implementation and continuous improvement of transportation management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to global workshops for defining SAP TM templates and standards
• Develop, configure, and localize SAP TM templates as part of international rollout initiatives
• Integrate SAP TM with SAP ECC/S/4HANA components (e.g., EWM, GTS, VIM) and external systems via EDI, IDocs, APIs, and web services
• Collaborate with service integration partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and deployment
• Enhance transportation planning capabilities, including routing, carrier selection, and optimization strategies
• Design and develop SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, including activation of catalogs and OData services
• Ensure adherence to SAP clean core principles for long-term system sustainability
• Manage transition and handover of implemented solutions to operational teams
• Provide ongoing support, analysis, and continuous improvement of SAP TM functionalities

Technical Skills & Expertise

• Strong experience with SAP Transportation Management (TM) (embedded or standalone)
• Proficiency in:
• ABAP & ABAP OO
• BOPF, BRF+
• CDS Views & OData services
• FPM/UI enhancements
• Fiori/UI5 development
• Solid understanding of TM data structures such as Freight Units, Freight Orders, and Charge Management
• Experience integrating SAP TM with SAP ECC/S/4HANA and external platforms using EDI, APIs, and IDocs

Functional Knowledge

• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes, particularly transportation planning and execution
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions within SAP TM

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Extensive experience in SAP TM development and implementation projects
• Proven track record in complex system integrations within enterprise environments
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred)
