Would you like to work for a company that truly makes a difference? Then you’ll thrive with us at BraunAbility. Our mission is to empower people around the world to move and live more independently. We achieve this through accessibility products that enable individuals with limited mobility to drive and travel in vehicles. By supporting individual independence, we contribute to a more accessible and inclusive society. Do you want to develop technology that makes a real difference in people’s lives?

At BraunAbility, we combine advanced engineering expertise with a clear purpose – improving quality of life for people around the world. We are now looking for a Project Engineer – Mechanical who wants to contribute to the development of high-quality, safe, and customer-adapted products in a global organization with strong local roots.

About the Role

As a Project Engineer – Mechanical, you will work closely with our product development projects, where mechanics, quality, and collaboration are key. The role combines hands-on engineering work with technical coordination and follow-up throughout the entire product lifecycle – from concept to industrialization and continuous improvement.

You will be an important link between design, project management, production, and external partners, in an environment where decisions are made close to business and changes can quickly be implemented thanks to our in-house production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and drive technical execution within mechanical product development projects
  • Perform and support structural analyses and assessments, e.g. strength and stiffness (basic FEM understanding)
  • Coordinate mechanical design work, technical changes, and deliveries
  • Lead risk analyses such as FMEA and in design reviews
  • Work closely with system engineers, project managers, production, and suppliers
  • Ensure that technical documentation and design data are up to date and accurate

Your Background

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in mechanical product development within an industrial environment
  • Good understanding of structural mechanics and technical calculations
  • Experience working with CAD tools and technical documentation
  • A structured way of working and strong communication skills

Who Are You?

You are analytical, solution-oriented, and enjoy a role that combines detailed technical work with collaboration and coordination. You appreciate an environment where quality, accountability, and continuous improvement are natural parts of everyday work – and where your contributions are part of something bigger.

We Offer

At BraunAbility, you will have a key role in our development projects where technology, quality, and collaboration are at the center. The role of Project Engineer – Mechanical involves supporting and driving product development activities within projects, combining hands-on engineering with coordination, documentation, and technical follow-up throughout the product lifecycle.

You will be part of an organization where you can work closely with both product development and manufacturing, with short decision paths and strong opportunities to influence technical solutions and ways of working.

Does this sound like your next step?

We warmly welcome your application!
