Join our teamAre you ready to shape the future of global transportation in a truly international environment? At Epiroc, we are looking for a strategic and experienced Global Category Manager Freight to join our Supply Chain Excellence team and play a key role in driving our global logistics agenda forward.This is a senior, global role where you will act as a strategic partner across regions—guiding transportation sourcing, strengthening supplier partnerships, and ensuring a resilient and cost‑efficient logistics network.This is a temporary one-year assignment. If you are applying for a temporary role, please talk to your current manager before applying.Your missionAs part of our Global Supply Chain Excellence team, your mission will be to lead and optimize the global transportation category. You will define and implement sourcing strategies, enable best practices, and ensure our global freight operations remain competitive, sustainable, and future-ready. You will work at a strategic level, collaborating closely with regional transportation teams and key carriers, ensuring alignment, governance, and value creation across our global network. Your responsibilities include:

Develop and drive the global transportation category strategy aligned with business goals

Lead sourcing activities, including tenders, supplier selection, and contract negotiations

Build and manage strategic relationships with key transportation providers

Drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring service quality and stability

Monitor market trends and proactively manage risks and opportunities

Guide and support regional teams to ensure alignment, governance, and best practices globally
Your profile You are a strategic and business-minded professional who thrives in a global, cross-functional environment. 5–10 years of experience in supply chain and transportation, preferably in a global setting

Experience in freight procurement (ocean, air, multimodal)

Proven background in sourcing, tenders, contract negotiation, and supplier management

Experience working across regions in a matrix organization

Academic degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent

Location and otherThis position is located in Örebro, Sweden, but other locations close to Epiroc Distribution Centers globally might be considered.Occasional travel is required.
