WHAT YOU’LL DO
Are you experienced within governance, risk and compliance and motivated by working in a complex, global environment? This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in strengthening how the H&M Group works with risk management and internal control across the organisation.
In this role, you will work across Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), driving a structured, consistent and business-relevant approach to risk management and internal control. You will combine hands-on execution with actively challenging and developing existing ways of working, contributing to continuous improvement across the Group.
You will partner closely with senior stakeholders, supporting leadership teams in identifying risks, strengthening controls, and driving accountability. The role also includes contributing to broader governance topics and leading initiatives or projects within your area when relevant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with assigned central business functions to identify, assess and manage risks, as well as establish and maintain internal controls, driving understanding and adoption within the business
- Consolidate and assess the risk portfolio within your scope, providing clear and relevant input to the broader risk landscape
- Drive follow-up and monitoring of risk management and internal control activities, ensuring progress and accountability
- Support policy management and selected compliance topics, including development and updates
- Prepare high-quality reporting and decision material for executive management and governance forums, including exposure to senior leadership and, where relevant, the Audit Committee
- Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across functions, brands and sales markets
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be part of the Corporate Governance function within the CFO organisation and report to the Head of Corporate Governance. The team works centrally across the H&M Group, collaborating with brands, group functions and sales markets globally.
In this role, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and regularly interact with senior leadership across the organisation.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a proactive, curious, and self-driven professional with a strong sense of ownership. You combine a structured and analytical mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture and understand business implications.
You build trust with stakeholders at different levels and are confident in engaging with both senior leadership and operational teams, creating understanding and buy-in. You communicate clearly and are able to translate complex risk and control topics into practical and actionable insights.
We believe you have:
- A master’s degree in business, law, risk management or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience within risk management, internal control, compliance or similar areas
- Experience working in a large, international organisation
- Proven ability to drive topics independently and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn analysis into actionable insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience addressing senior stakeholders
- Experience in project management and leading cross-functional initiatives
- Fluency in English (Swedish is considered a merit)
- Experience working with GRC tools
