About the Role

You will help build a next-generation payment platform on a modern and future-proof tech stack. The role sits in a cross-functional engineering team working with backend services, data-intensive flows and platform capabilities that need to be stable, scalable and reliable in production.

Job Description

• You will design, build and improve backend services in .NET/C#.
• You will work hands-on with MS SQL Server, including schema design, performance tuning and troubleshooting in production.
• You will help shape reliable microservice-based solutions and contribute to distributed system design.
• You will design and work with asynchronous messaging and event-driven flows using Kafka, IBM MQ or similar technologies.
• You will run and improve services in containerised and orchestrated environments such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines for database changes and deployment automation, with focus on safe and repeatable releases.
• You will collaborate closely with the team to improve how software is built, operated and continuously refined.

Requirements

• Proven ability to design, optimize and operate data-intensive systems in MS SQL Server-based environments.
• Deep understanding of database performance and reliability, including indexing strategies, query optimisation and handling production issues.
• Experience building and operating backend services using .NET/C#, with solid understanding of microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and working with asynchronous messaging and event-driven systems.
• Experience running services in containerised and orchestrated environments such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift, with understanding of scaling, resilience and failure modes.
• Experience contributing to or owning CI/CD pipelines for database changes and deployment automation.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience from financial services, payments or other regulated environments.
• Swedish language skills.
