Hardware Design Engineer – Inverter Design

Brief assignment description Design and verify inverter hardware, including schematic creation, component selection, documentation, and support in lab testing. The work is carried out within a Development Team in close collaboration with other engineering disciplines.

Wanted competence

• Inverter hardware design (LV/HV), including power stage and auxiliary circuits

• Power semiconductors (MOSFET & IGB), gate‑drive and protection concepts

• Understanding of switching behavior, thermal performance, EMC interactions, and lifetime mechanisms

• Ability to read and interpret requirements and design constraints

Experience (programming language, tools, etc)

• Cadence Capture (schematic)

• LTspice

• Requirement Management tools like Visure or Polarion

• JIRA

• MS Office

Personality:

Structured, self‑driven, communicates clearly, collaborates well with other teams.

Able to work independently with minimal guidance.

Strong ability in documentation.

Important skills:

• Design of inverter power stages and support electronics

• Switching‑loss, thermal and lifetime calculations

• EMC‑aware PCB design practices

• Lab verification and problem‑solving on inverter hardware

Other skills (language etc)

English, Swedish (preferred)

Other Experience with automotive design standards (e.g., CISPR 25, ISO 26262) considered a plus.
