With an R&D hub in Solna, Sweden, and a production site in Gdańsk, Poland, Scania Industrial Batteries build digital products that connect industrial battery systems with real-time data, analytics, and automation – enabling the electrification of heavy industries such as construction, mining, and marine.
We are now looking for an experienced Full-Stack Frontend Engineer to join our Software Engineering team.
In this role, you’ll build end-to-end web and desktop applications that interact with embedded systems, IoT data, and cloud services – bridging the physical and digital worlds. You’ll own the frontend, designing and developing intuitive, performant interfaces using React and TypeScript for web and frameworks like Electron for desktop. On the backend, you’ll contribute to APIs and services built in Node.js, Go, or Python, deployed on AWS, and help shape system architecture and data flow for reliability and scalability. You will collaborate with Cloud Engineers on CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure automation, and drive product quality through documentation, coding standards, and observability. Working closely with Embedded and Cloud Engineers as well as Product Stakeholders, you’ll turn complex data into insight and action – shaping how users experience our digital products.
We asked some of your future colleagues what makes this role special. Among many things, they highlighted that your code interacts with real hardware, and not just APIs. It will be used far below ground, at sea and in remote locations few people ever reach. You will influence the UX and interface design without a dedicated UX team, and build both web and desktop applications that bring our battery systems to life.
